Different device types use different ZTP methods.
Catalyst 9k (PnP via DNAC)¶
- DHCP option 43 points to DNAC
- Device contacts DNAC PnP server
- DNAC pushes day-0 template
- Device joins fabric
cEdge (ZTP via vManage)¶
- DHCP option 67 provides bootstrap config
- Device contacts vBond orchestrator
- vBond redirects to vManage
- vManage attaches device template
Wireless (WLC Discovery)¶
- DHCP option 43 provides WLC IP
- AP joins WLC
- WLC pushes RF profile
